In September 2024, TeamBuild Construction Group undertook an HDB project requiring simultaneous operation of 4 tower cranes and 4 passenger hoists. Although grid power was available, the high and fluctuating power demands during peak construction hours posed challenges in maintaining energy stability, efficiency, and cost control. A smart energy solution was needed to optimise power usage, reduce peak load stress on the grid, and support sustainable site operations.
By replacing four 400kVA diesel generators and four 150kVA diesel generators with Infinity Cube’s Charging BESS System, comprising of just two Infinity Cube L units charged directly from the grid, TeamBuild Construction eliminated the need for eight diesel generators on site. The result was a dramatic cut in annual diesel consumption delivering major cost savings while significantly lowering carbon emissions.
